Home whitening.
After braces your teeth are straight – with whitening they also become brighter. We supervise the whitening safely and gently, with trays that fit your teeth exactly.

( Home whitening )
How home whitening works.
After an examination and a cleaning, we make thin, clear trays from a 3D scan of your teeth. At home you wear the trays with a whitening gel for a set time – usually over about two weeks.
The gel lifts stains from the enamel without removing any tooth substance. We set the concentration and wearing time and check the result. Fillings, crowns and veneers do not whiten – we discuss this with you beforehand.

( Good to know )
Good to know: before whitening.
Whitening is possible for adults aged 18 and over whose teeth and gums are healthy. Any decay should be treated and the teeth professionally cleaned first.
During whitening, teeth may temporarily be sensitive to cold or heat. This usually subsides within a few days.
- After finishing treatment with braces or aligners
- With stains from coffee, tea, red wine or tobacco
- With naturally yellowish teeth
- Before a special occasion

We tell you the costs for trays, gel and check-ups in advance in a transparent cost plan.
Good questions, clear answers
Is your question not listed? Give us a call or ask at your first appointment.
Does whitening damage the teeth?
With dental supervision and the right concentration, whitening is considered safe. The enamel is not removed; temporary sensitivity is possible.
How long does the result last?
Usually one to three years – depending on how much coffee, tea, red wine or tobacco is involved. The trays can be used later for touch-ups.
Can I whiten during my braces?
Ideally afterwards – otherwise darker spots would remain under the brackets. With aligners, ask us about the right time.
Do fillings and crowns get lighter too?
No. Dental restorations and fillings keep their colour, so we plan whitening before new fillings or crowns where possible.
