Braces for adults.

It is never too late for straight teeth. More and more adults choose orthodontic treatment – discreetly with aligners or classically with brackets.

( Orthodontics for adults )

It is about more than looks.

Many of our adult patients never had braces as a child – or their teeth have shifted again after an earlier treatment. Others come because their dentist recommends it before a crown, bridge or implant, or because their jaw is causing trouble.

We take a calm look at your situation and tell you honestly what can be achieved, how long it takes and which solution fits your everyday life.

( Good reasons )

Why adults come to us.

  • 01

    Teeth have shifted

Crowding in the lower jaw or a relapse after earlier braces are among the most common reasons.

  • 02

    Easier cleaning

Straight teeth are easier to clean – which helps teeth and gums in the long run.

  • 03

    Before dental restorations

Before a crown, bridge or implant it can make sense to upright teeth or tidy up gaps.

  • 04

    Jaw joint & bite

If the bite does not fit, jaw joints and muscles can be strained. We include this in our planning.

Good questions, clear answers

Is your question not listed? Give us a call or ask at your first appointment.

Am I too old for braces?

No. Teeth can be moved at any age as long as teeth and gums are healthy. We check this at the first examination.

How noticeable is the treatment at work?

Aligners are transparent and most people around you will not notice them. There are also less conspicuous types of fixed braces – we show you the options.

How long does treatment take for adults?

That depends on your starting point. After the examination and 3D scan you receive an individual plan with a realistic time estimate.

Does health insurance pay for adults?

Statutory insurance pays only in exceptional cases, such as severe jaw misalignments that need combined surgical treatment. Private and supplementary insurance reimburse depending on your contract.

How often do I need to come for check-ups?

The intervals depend on the appliance and your treatment plan. Appointments are also possible by arrangement.
